Joy Over Happiness is an original acrylic painting of a Canadian Lynx.

I honestly can’t say I really understood joy until our stormy year of 2022.

Like a raging fire that never goes out, joy is far more vibrant, powerful, and all sustaining compared to happiness.

The storms have taught me to interrupt the cycle of worry - the ultimate joy stealer!

Worry is now my red flag to pray. A prompting to look up! A prayer that leads me to dwelling on Jesus and his goodness instead of on my own circumstances.

Prayer reminds me that Jesus sees my future. He knows what comes next. Prayer strengthens me knowing God can bring good out of EVERY ugly situation I face.

Step 1) Ask the Lord for joy and anything else.

Step 2) Keep looking up! He definitely hears you.

Step 3) Acknowledge him in everything you do.
