Why I Recommend Mini for Beginners

After the third request for a raccoon tutorial, here you are my friends! A beginner level tutorial in under 30-minutes. And I thought it would help a lot of you beginner artists to start with a mini canvas.

Reasons I recommend Minis

If your looking to pick up painting, start small. Mini canvas’s can save on money, time, and stress, but still allow you to get comfortable with painting.

This pack of 12-5”x 5” minis equates to the cost of one 12 x 15 canvas. That’s 12 paintings for under $20.

A large canvas can be intimidating. More surface to paint, and more mess. Mini canvas’s are a great way to test color, designs, and styles in a short amount of time and with very little mess.

When I’m stressed, I normally pull out one of my mini canvas’s and go to town with color. Not concerned with the final outcome because I know I can just paint right over it and start over.
